APARTMENT 1. RUE DE LAPPE

Jun 2011

Dear John

My family and I had a wonderful stay in Paris and we can honestly say that your apartment was    integral to the success of our time in that amazing city. We arrived on the day of the national Fete de la Musique and the street and area were alive with music and good cheer. The apartment was in great condition and David had left a welcoming note with a bottle of wine.

Everything you have included in the apartment for visitors was perfect.  We were very happy there and will definitely recommend it as a home away from home in a very special district of Paris. Thanks also to Helen who called us to check that all was okay.

The late check out option gave us time to do some more exploring and have a good rest before the grueling flights home.

Best regards

Elisabeth

Hi John,

We have been to Paris a couple of times now, but I have to say, all our memories will have to now be measured against the ones we made this year in Bastille. Our apartment was perfect. We had plenty of room for all our bags, 2 kids, and still be able to move around, and cook. We met David, who was very friendly and helpful. He helped us with the bags up the stairs, showed us how to use the lock, and gave us the bottle of wine !

We loved the location of the apartment. We really felt like a local.

I loved the fact that we could walk to Notre Dame, and the Rue de Rivoli, we also wondered up and down Rue de la Roquette, and found the best vintage clothes store, some really beautiful home stores. We walked to the Pere-Lachaise cemetery, and were so surprised at the extraordinary sights we saw. Obviously, the most famous gravesite was Jim Morrison's, and it was the most visited, but we loved walking around this cemetery on a hill, enjoying the scenery.

Surprisingly, our children loved coming back to the apartment at the end of each day. This was there first time in Paris, and though they loved all the touristy things we did and saw, they really felt as though they were coming home at the end of each day.

We are glad that we booked the apartment with you, and felt that we had a bit of divine intervention that we got it, especially after leaving it so late to find accommodation.

Many thanks, and all the very best with your ventures in Paris.

Merci beaucoup et meilleures salutations.
